2024年11月21日，ASEAN水産教育ネットワーク（ASEAN-FEN）と北海道大学水産科学研究院内実行委員会が主宰する第１２回国際水産シンポジウム（IFS2024）会場において，東南アジアの水産行政・教育研究機関との懇談の場が設けられました。その中で，部局間交流協定のあるカンボジア王立水産局を代表して，Has Sareth農林水産担当国務大臣，Buoy Roitana副長官，Heng Penley副長官，Kaing Khim副長官，Hong Hy 事務部部長，Lieng Sopha地域水産開発部部長，Chin Leakhena事務部副部長が北海道大学水産科学研究院に表敬訪問しました。北海道大学側は，都木靖彰研究院長，清水宗敬国際交流委員会委員長，ジョン・バウア国際教育室室長，松石隆教授，藤田雅紀准教授が出席し，今後の学術協力に関して意見が交換されました。

On 21 November 2024, a courtesy call was organized with Southeast Asian partners at the 12th International Fisheries Symposium (IFS2024), which was held in Hakodate. During the meeting, His Excellency Has Sareth, the Secretary of State for Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, Mr. Buoy Roitana, Deputy Director-General of the Fisheries Administration; Ms. Heng Ponley, Deputy Director of the Community Fisheries Development Department; Ms. Kaing Khim, Deputy Director-General of the Fisheries Administration (the lead delegate); Mr. Hong Hy, Director of Administrative Affairs and Litigation Department; Dr. Lieng Sopha, Director of Community Fisheries Development Department; Dr. Chin Leakhena, Deputy Director of Administrative Affairs and Litigation Department paid a courtesy visit to the Faculty of Fisheries Sciences of Hokkaido University on behalf of Fisheries Administration, Cambodia, which is an inter-departmental exchange agreement partner. The Hokkaido University delegation was represented by Prof. Takagi Yasuaki, Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries Sciences; Prof. Shimizu Munetaka, Chair of the International Exchange Committee; Prof. John Bower, Director of the International Education Office; Prof. Matsuishi Takashi Fritz and Associate Professor Fujita Masaki. During the meeting, opinions were exchanged on future academic cooperation.
