Department of Marine Biology

 This department provides a thorough grounding in biological subjects such as morphology, taxonomy, evolution, ecology behavior, and the life history of marine oiganisms including plankton, benthos, fishes, cephalopods, seabirds, and marine mammals, as well as environmental aspects of their habitats. Research activities cover a wide area of basic and applied subjects concerning aquatic organisms and their environments to provide students with a thorough knowledge and the ability to resolve problems related to the management, conservation, and utilization of marine biological resources and the environment.
